Description
A minutely detailed smoking pipe forms the centrepiece of this immensely wearable pendant. Originally an elegant stick pin from the Victorian period this was designed to take pride of place in the lapel of a jacket. Crafted out of 18ct rose gold and silver the main body of the pipe has been expertly modelled to resemble a popular clay example from the period. This has been further brought to life by old cut diamonds and a cabochon cut white opal humourously portraying fresh smoke. Smoking was a popular male pastime during the Victorian period with pipes being regarded as the most English style of smoking. Expertly converted in the Pragnell workshops into a stylish pendant this has been paired with a simple 9ct yellow gold 46cm chain.
